A Story That Will NEVER Happen

Romeo and Juliet somewhat had a great love story but a really tragic ending. As what others say about love stories ending tragically "Walang Forever". But for me Romeo and Juliet already found their forever in each others arms. They gave justice to the quote "Till death do us part", they never left each others side until their last breath. But what if Romeo and Juliet stayed alive? Will the Capulets and Montagues pardon each other? Given the chance to give Romeo and Juliet an alternative ending, I will write a story that will never happen.

Once Romeo reached the graveyard he saw a face unusual to him. Little did he know that it is actually the face of the man who's about to marry Juliet. Romeo was confused about the guy who's mourning on Juliet's body. Upon knowing that someone entered the graveyard the guy quickly looked at Romeo and introduced himself as Paris, the fiancee of Juliet. Romeo was shocked but at the same time he it never slipped his mind to have a doubt on Juliet's love for him. On the other side, Juliet slowly wakes up and noticed that two guys were standing at her side, she realized that it was Paris and Juliet. As Juliet wakes up, without any second thought, he quickly hugged Romeo not even minding Paris. A confused and hurt Paris suddenly grabbed Romeo, fortunately Romeo was strong and quick enough to escape. Juliet talked calmly to Paris, she told her that Romeo is already her husband and they got married secretly. A furious Paris ran out from the graveyard. Romeo and Juliet realized that Paris may tell the Capulets about what happened. So, they decided to leave for Mantua and looked for a secret hiding place. Upon living in Mantua, they discovered that Juliet is pregnant.

After a few years of hiding Balthasar, Romeo's servant decided to take a walk to Verona, suddenly a small kid approached him and asked if he could come. Everyone knows that Balthasar can't decline any request of this cute kid. "Sure Alonzo" that simple statement made the kid so happy. He dashed to his mom and dad and told them that Balthasar will take him to Verona. Romeo and Juliet was still having second thoughts if they would let their son go to the place that brought them so much pain. But like Balthasar, the two can't decline their son. They just hoped that nothing bad will happen.

While walking through the streets of Verona, a war suddenly appeared between the Montagues and Capulets AGAIN. Alonzo, who thought that the fight was only a game, left Balthasar's company. Alonzo, unexpectedly felt a sharp object through his stomach. As he slowly falls down, he still heard Balthasar's voice calling him. The Montagues were surprised to see Balthasar again. Balthasar, quickly went to Mantua with Alonzo's dead body to show Romeo and Juliet. Once the thought of Alonzo being dead sinked in to Romeo and Juliet's mind, the rushed to Verona bringing Alonzo's body again. The Capulets and Montagues were still in the Plaza, they were surprised to see Romeo and Juliet, but Romeo and Juliet can only feel anger towards them. All they know is that their families are the ones who caused Alonzo's death. They never felt anything but hate towards their families.

As they transferred back to Mantua, a depressed Juliet bought a poison at the nearest apothecary. All she wants is to end her life and be with her son. Lucky enough, Romeo quickly barged into her room and told her that death is not the solution for every problem. He encouraged her to move on and that Alonzo won't love to see her in pain. Familiar voices were suddenly heard from downstairs, they discovered that the voices were from the Montagues and Capulets. They told Romeo and Juliet that they decided to reconcile each other. They even built a statue of Alonzo looking happy and charming as ever. Romeo and Juliet realized that everything really happens for a reason.

As how other fairytales end their stories, Romeo and Juliet lived happily ever after. But this will remain as a story that will never happen to Romeo and Juliet...
